Community Conversations on Race: Microaggressions

7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Description

Having conversations about Race provides participants with the opportunity to learn about a topic, enhanced by the personal experiences and perceptions of the groups. This discussion series will base the conversations on a video or article related to the topic, followed by small group discussions. On Thursday, January 14, the topic is Microaggressions. Microaggressions are defined as the everyday, subtle, interactions or behaviors that communicate some sort of bias toward historically marginalized groups. People who commit microaggressions are often not aware of them.
