Having conversations about Race provides participants with the opportunity to learn about a topic, enhanced by the personal experiences and perceptions of the groups. This discussion series will base the conversations on a video or article related to the topic, followed by small group discussions.
On Thursday, April 8, the discussion will be based on The Binary Code of Racism and How It is Learned. The material will delve into how our racial history and biases are passed on to new generations and are reflected in our behavior.
Presented in partnership with Do Good Roseville and the City of Shoreview/Shoreview Human Rights Commission.
Once you register, you will receive an email with pre-work (readings and/or video viewings, about one hour) about a week before the discussion. If you do not see the email within five days of the program, please check your spam/junk folder. If you still don't see the email, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
This discussion-based program will not be recorded.
