Please join the League of Women Voters and Ramsey County Library April 19th for an exciting and educational evening exploring varied but essential parts of our world challenged by the existential crisis of our time—climate change!

Three panelists will speak to different facets of the challenge, each describing their work and providing examples for change at the community and individual level.

The panelists are: Dr. Paul Bogard, Hamline University, teacher of creative writing and environmental literature and author of numerous books about efforts to darken skies in the age of artificial light; Ted Redmond, architect and renewable energy consultant with the firm paleBLUEdot, sharing expertise on community planning and building design for projected climate change; and Carroll Henderson, a 41-year Supervisor with the MN State Nongame Wildlife Program, author of numerous publications about landscaping for wildlife, and citizen science advocate.

Climate change is complex. Its mitigation requires many moving parts. We hope this presentation will give the audience a better understanding of the challenges we face, but more importantly, ways we can take meaningful action in our homes and communities.
