Learn how to establish an online business to sell your handcrafted or vintage products using Etsy, a leader in e-commerce for creative entrepreneurs. Each session will focus on a best practice for your business; register for specific sessions or attend the entire series. There will be time for discussion so come prepared to meet other makers, share your ideas, show off what you want to sell, and ask questions.

March 2: Introduce Your Shop

Why Etsy? What can you sell? Understand Etsy fees, track your business expenses, package and ship your item, and price your item for profit.

March 9: Opening Your Shop

Develop a cohesive brand that inspires trust in buyers. Get to know your target market and make them excited about you and your shop with a creative About section and clear policies. Write listing descriptions for your items that encourage buyers to add to cart.

March 16: Stocking Your Shop

A great listing is important but what buyers really need to see are fantastic photos. This will be a workshop session, so bring an item to photograph. You will use your phone camera and a free app to create listing photos for your shop.

March 23: Promotion and Marketing

Promote your Etsy shop. Understand Etsy SEO (search optimization), keywords, and tagging so buyers can find your items. Learn how to use Etsy’s promoted listings and other marketing techniques.
