The story of civil rights—brought to life—for a forgotten minority: People with developmental disabilities. Their fight for rights in America is unknown to most Minnesota students (and adults) and one of the largest barriers to equality is their dismissal as equal citizens. This traveling exhibit celebrates their journey from 1900 through the present to increase their independence, productivity, self determination, integration, and inclusion.
This exhibit offers visitors a deeper understanding and perspective as Minnesotans with developmental disabilities
work towards greater inclusion.
