Description

Printmaking is the art of creating serial impressions in ink on paper or other surfaces. It often focuses on combining words and images in meaningful ways and has been used throughout the centuries to speak truth to power, organize the people, and keep stories alive that otherwise would have been silenced. In this program we will briefly go over the extraordinary history of ink, paper and purpose that is our 2000+ year relationship with the art of print.  We will then use simple relief printing methods to design and print our own small series of postcards with a message that we can share with the world.

Program will be taught by a teaching artist from eHoltART. Open to anyone in grades 6-12. Space is limited. Registration required.

Program is funded with money from the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
