I highly recommend this book. The author did a great job of not downplaying the darkness of this time-period and the events that took place, while still making it in a way that kids/young-adults can understand and appreciate. Great story-telling, plot, and message. 5/5.

This book was beautiful. I could not stop reading it and there was basically a cliffhanger at the end of every chapter!!! Definitely a recommendation.

This was a timely read for my kids based on the resurgence of anti-Semitic conspiracy theories being espoused by some figures in politics and the news.

This book has it all, it is action-packed, emotional, and even educational. It left me on the edge of my seat! It made me laugh, cry, and cringe. I loved it but did not expect it to be so sad! This book is really a treasure, surreal, even, and I love it.

Chaya Lindner is a 16 year old Jewish girl living in Nazi-occupied Poland. She works as a courier in the Jewish ghettos , smuggling food, messages, and supplies. Soon she joins a resistance movement and becomes involved in raids on Nazi supplies as well as sabotage missions. After a mission goes wrong Chaya is alone and unsure what to do next. She soon becomes involved in an even larger resistance operation in the Warsaw ghetto. This historical story is full of courage, realism and hope. You will be immediately swept up in the fast paced storytelling and will not want to put it down until the satisfying conclusion.

This action packed novel gave me the guts to step out of my "shell" of only reading fiction.
I recommend it to any one who likes to read realistic fiction, and hope they enjoy it.
If you have all ready read this epic novel and enjoyed it like I did than I recommend reading the false memory saga ( false memory, false sight and false future )

This book puts such a deep meaning to the Holocaust, it gives me shivers. It was an amazing book and many tears were shed. The only problem is there arent any books like it to read after its over, but that just means that the book was so unique and individual. I loved it so much, and I think it is a perfect book for anyone, no matter what genre you prefer, because it fits with all of them.
